Individual Certification Program in Schema Therapy (30 hours didactic, 15 hours dyadic)

Workshop 1 - online: The Fundamentals of Schema Therapy 

Introduction to Schema Therapy and to working with complex presentations. The workshop will examine in detail both the schema and mode models and the different techniques that can be used with each. Role play and experiential practice are provided.  The training will review some research in the area of ST and will finish with a focus on the various types of questionnaires that are commonly used. 

• Day 1: Saturday 10th April, 2021 at 10 am to 5:30 pm
• Day 2: Saturday 17th April, 2021 at 10 am to 5:30 pm
• Day 3: Saturday 24th April, 2021 at 10 am to 5:30 pm 

Workshop 2 - online:  Beyond the Basics; working with BPD & NPD

The workshop will specifically look at the Schema Therapy protocol for treating both BPD and NPD. Skills will be refined and students will be able to practice imagery and chair work exercises.

Workshop 3 - online:  Towards Mastery 

Students will review NPD and learn about their own triggers when working with personality disorders. There will be an introduction to Schema Therapy in Couple's work, which will further solidify student learnings and skills. A look at the various modes added over the years, as well as a mode conceptualization of each DSM5 personality disorder. The workshop will end with a review of what is needed for accreditation.
