Training & Certification Advisory Board

Terms of reference and responsibilities The primary responsibility of the Training and Certification Advisory Board (TCAB) is to Coordinate the activities and decisions of the various Training and Certification committees to ensure that there is consistency with respect to structure and practice, especially across the training programs in the different certification categories. The TCAB will

  • 1.     Assist the committees to find mutual formats to describe the content in the certification criteria.
  • 2.     Act in an advisory capacity to the Executive Board on the issues dealt with by these committees. It is recognized that decision making is the function of the Executive Board only.
  • 3.     Invite committees to forward proposals to the TCAB on matters they believe require attention
  • 4.     Direct committees to work on a specific task within the committee’s terms of reference.
  • 5.     Review proposals from these committees and make recommendations before they are sent to the respective coordinators (Training coordinator / Certification coordinator) before being submitted to the Executive Board.

In the event that the TCAB is unable to reach a consensus on any issue of policy or practice, it  may refer the matter to the Executive Board.
