I am a licensed clinical social worker (NY LCSW) and certified advanced schema therapist in private practice. I have extensive experience working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, childhood trauma, life transitions and relationship issues. My training as a certified alcoholism and substance abuse counselor (NY CASAC), helps me work with clients whose lives have been deeply affected by growing up in families in which at least one parent or close family member suffered from addiction. I respect the courage it takes for a person to come for therapy. Building trusting relationships with my clients and offering them hope that change is possible are key elements in a successful outcome. My therapeutic approach is an integration of Schema Therapy with my training in the Somatic Experiencing Method of Healing Trauma and my background in family therapy obtained at the Ackerman Institute for the Family externship program.
