ISST GENERAL MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY 2018

  1. Welcome by the President

  2. Reports of activity of members of the ISST Executive Board from 2016 to July 2018: President; Vice President, Treasurer, Training and Certification Co-ordinator, Science and Research Co-ordinator, Public Affairs Co-ordinator.

  3. Outlook on future tasks for the next Board term. 

    Full members of the ISST will be asked to formally vote on each of the following:

  4. Acceptance of financial reports 2016 and 2017
  5. Acceptance of the budget plans for 2018 and 2019
  6. Formal approval of the actions of the Executive Board during the two-year term just ended as reflected in the reports presented under item 2 above
  7. The Proposal to confer Honorary Membership of the ISST on Wendy Behary.
  8. The Proposal to confer Honorary Membership of the ISST on Joan Farrell.
  9. The proposal to confirm Petra Baumann-Frankenberger as Financial Auditor.


    Full members will also be asked to vote on each of the changes to the Statutes that have been recommended by the Board:

  10. The proposal to expand the Executive Board by one member by splitting the Training and Certification Coordinator into two separate portfolios:  Training Coordinator and Certification Coordinator.  Read the motivation and a fuller explanation here.
  11. Changing the name of the Public Affairs Coordinator to Media Coordinator. Read the motivation and a fuller explanation here.
  12. Changing the details of the membership structure and criteria for each level of membership. Read the motivation and a fuller explanation here.
  13. Adding a paragraph to the statutes limiting membership of the Executive Board to three consecutive terms to take effect after the upcoming 2018 elections. See fuller details and motivation here.
  14. Some smaller formal changes that are necessary to maintain our status as a Non-Profit Organization or to clarify points that were obscure. Read the motivation and a fuller explanation here .

  15. Closing the GMA

    Once the results of the voting have been obtained, these will be formally reported on the website and the President will formally close the GMA with a further notice on the website.
