2020 ISST GMA INFORMATION PAGE

Dear ISST Member,

The General Membership Assembly (GMA), normally held every two years, is an important event for the ISST as an organization.

The GMA provides for the formal approval by the membership of the activities of the outgoing Executive Board.  It also provides for approval of nominations made by the Executive Board, for an auditor and for Honorary Life Members.  Changes to the ISST statutes are also put to the membership at the GMA, although this year the Executive Board is not recommending any statute changes.

Although the matters under review are only indirectly relevant to the practice of schema therapy they are essential for our functioning as a professional organization. All full members of the ISST are invited to review the reports of the members of your Executive Board and indicate whether you accept that they have discharged their responsibilities.  All full members are eligible to vote and invited to do so to indicate that they accept the reports.  The voting period will be from September 24th to October 7th.

While some members might have limited interest in some of the fine details of these items, the Executive Board encourages you to vote in the GMA because we need a quorum (a minimum number of voters) in order for the outcome to be valid.

A provisional agenda for the GMA is available below, and this will be updated as details are finalized.  Reports from members of the Executive Board, and other documents providing detailed background information and motivations for each of the agenda items, are being posted as they become available. Tap on the buttons below to access them.
